Robert LaRoche, began performing professionally at age 15. Originally from Holyoke, Massachusetts, LaRoche formed the Power Pop band The Sighs in 1982. Now living in Austin, Texas, LaRoche is the lead guitarist and co-writer for singer Patricia Vonne. Vonne has released six critically acclaimed cd’s on the independent label Bandolera Records, and has toured Europe numerous times where they have built a loyal and ever growing fan base. In September of 2015, Robert released his solo debut cd entitled “Patient Man”.  LaRoche’s song craft is based firmly in American roots music. Influenced by Buddy Holly, Del Shannon, Everly Brothers and Beatles.

Matt Cullen

Matt Cullenstarted playing guitar in his teens after eight years of piano lessons didn't pay off. Cullen spent most of his childhood in the Hilltowns of Western, Massachusetts. After playing in a number of valley bands, he joined The Sighs in 1990 on lead guitar and vocals. In 2007, Matt released a solo record, The Humming Field. Over the last several years, Cullen worked as a touring guitar player (Kevin Salem, Another Girl, Lloyd Cole) and works as a studio musician, contributing as a player, writer and producer to roughly 15 records.  Now living and playing music in Iowa, Cullen recently finished his first record as engineer, producer and mixer. Matt's influences are early Aerosmith, Neil Young, British invasion bands, Lindsey Buckingham, Brian May, Mike Cambell and many more...

Tom Borawski, is the glue of The Sighs power pop "Big Drum" sound. At the age of 9, Tom's Grandfather took him to see Buddy Rich at Greenfield Community College. As fate would have it Tom started playing drums, and always had a knack for owning the "pocket". In the early 80's, Tom played with several local Western Massachusetts bands before joining The Sighs in 1988. Tom also played drums for Northampton based Angry Johnny and The Killbillies, America's favorite bloodgrass band.  Tom's influenced by Cheap Trick, The Jam, Sex Pistols, Kiss, Bowie and 80's bands.    

​​Tommy Pluta, started playing drums at the age of 12. The Holyoke, Massachusetts native joined LaRoche as The Sighs drummer in 1983, eventually moving to bass in 1986 as the two began to write and sing together. In 1995, Pluta co-founded the Active Rock band Mary's First as lead guitarist and co-writer. MF played throughout New England, and released a self titled E.P. In 1996,Tommy created the Big Bang Music Explosion on 99.3 Rocks in Northampton, MA. As Music Director and show co-host, Pluta showcased many local and regional bands on the weekly program including Staind from Springfield, MA. Look for Tommy's first solo EP "Breathe" on OMAD Records. Tommy's influences are Cheap Trick, Foo Fighters, Posies, XTC, Beatles, and some early 80's rock.
